We are super excited to announce that we have launched official TfL licensed products in Cards Galore. London is an incredible iconic city so it is no surprise that it's home to the most famous transport system in the world. The underground is 157 years old. Each year, about 1.3 billion journeys are made on the London Underground and the average Londoner spends an average of about 11.5 days each year on the Underground!
Which is why we thought it was so important to design a range inspired from the system we all use. The Roundel is a trade mark design for Tfl. Originally appearing in 1908 at the station we now call St James's Park. The roundel was created to make station names stand out against the adverts and billboards on platform walls. It then developed into becoming the most iconic symbol of London life which is why we centred our collection around it.
We have designed mugs, coasters and our favourite, Eco Bags made from recycled plastic bottles. Each design has been hand drawn in watercolour in vivid blues and reds to mimic the traditional colours of the underground. With the words: Underground. Mind the Gap, London or a station closest to you!
Launching into Cards Galore on 2nd March. Starting with 12 shops; Covent Garden, Hammersmith, Holborn, Leicester Square, Liverpool Street, London Bridge, Marylebone, Paddington, Richmond, South Kensington, Westminster, Wimbledon.
