Fer, after driving through 20 villages in 2 hours because everything is so close, we decided to stay in Gruyères to visit the Castle of Gruyère and have dinner there. You can not believe how all these villages remained almost frozen in time for over 500 years, seriously! It was like being in Age of Empires hahahaha We had dinner at a restaurant that was open since 1633! The village is charming and is one of the places in the region with several excellent choices of cafes and restaurants.

Oh, and a curious fact: we found out that the original Gruyère cheese has no holes and is not fruity. Looks more like a parmesan and is pretty tasty and cheap arround there.
